Does PrimeCharge replace Xero?
No. Your accounting stays in Xero. PrimeCharge adds the customer-facing billing and payment experience around it — then payment status flows back so your books stay accurate.
What is the PrimeCharge service fee?
PrimeCharge charges a 2.25% service fee when a payment is completed through PrimeCharge. The service fee is shown clearly as part of the total before the customer confirms payment. Payments recorded outside PrimeCharge — such as bank transfer recorded in Xero — do not include a PrimeCharge service fee.
Who pays the service fee?
When a customer pays an invoice through PrimeCharge, the total to pay includes the invoice amount plus the applicable PrimeCharge service fee. The fee is part of using the PrimeCharge service — not a hidden add-on revealed after payment.
Can customers see payment history?
Yes. Customers get a clear view of what was invoiced, what was paid, receipts, and account activity — in one place.
How do businesses get started?
Contact us to get PrimeCharge set up for your business. We onboard carefully so presentation, payments and Xero sync are configured correctly. PrimeCharge is currently in Beta with limited availability.
Is payment secure?
Yes. Online card payments are processed securely by Stripe through PrimeCharge’s payment experience. Customers see clear totals before confirming, and receive immediate confirmation and a proper receipt after payment.
